President Trump dismissed sexual assault accusations this week, saying the accuser was "not my type."

Mr. Trump further asserted that he had never met the woman.

ABC News reports the quip came in response to writer E. Jean Carrol's allegation from her forthcoming book, that Mr. Trump had assaulted her in the mid-90's.

The allegation is the latest in a series of such accusations, all of which the president has denied.

Ms. Carroll told Anderson Cooper that she was glad she wasn't the president's type.

New York Magazine published the excerpt from Ms. Carroll's book last week. That excerpt included a photograph from 1987 showing Mr. Trump, his then-wife Ivana, Ms. Carroll and her then-husband, John Johnson, at a party.

The president dismissed the photo: "Standing with a coat in a line -- give me a break -- with my back to the camera," he added. "I have no idea who she is."
