I've always been a chart guy.  I remember going around surveying my classmates back in middle school and asking them, "who will win the Super Bowl", "The Stanley Cup", or "The World Series", etc back in the day.  I would compile the data and make my pie or bar graph charts.

Well, there's a guy who's as nerdy as I am, and survey's his more than 400,000 followers on Instagram by the name of Matt Surelee.  Matt covers a wide variety of topics on his surveys including one that I shared with you recently "The Most Over-Rated Attraction in each state.  North Dakota's was "The Enchanted Highway".  You can read all about that here.  That is something I completely disagree with by the way.

Matt had another topic recently that caught my eye.  "The Drunkest City in Each State".  Certainly not a title you want these days.  Binge drinking, underage drinking, and drinking and driving are all big problems in North Dakota that's for sure.

Drunkest City In States Around Us?

The drunkest city in each of the states that border North Dakota are all college towns which is really no surprise.  Minnesota is St. Cloud, home of St. Cloud University.  Our neighbor to the south, South Dakota is Brookings, home of South Dakota State University.  And Montana is Butte, home of Montana Tech.  Not the biggest college in Montana but it sounds like they can really throw them back.

None other than Grand Forks, home of the University of North Dakota.  No coincidence there, as UND was recently named the #1 party college in all of North Dakota.  You can read more about that here.  As somebody who grew up in Grand Forks, it's so cold there most of the time, there's not really much else to do other than drink.  Just sayin'!
