Tobacco Purchasing Age Will Not Increase in North Dakota
Several states have proposed a bill to increase the legal age to purchase tobacco. The first state to turn down such bill is North Dakota.
This past Friday, House Bill 1312 was defeated on the House floor by a vote of 68-22. The bill included not only tobacco, but also e-cigarettes and other alternative devices for tobacco use.
Rep. Pamela Anderson had initially presented the bill, which would have raised the legal age for purchasing tobacco to 19.
