The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Tornado Watch for the Bismarck area and the region.

The Bismarck-Mandan area can expect the possibility of severe weather.

The weather conditions expected are strong winds and heavy rain is possible. Storms could move through the area after 4pm moving into the evening hours.

There is a 60% chance of rain for the Bis-Man area.

The counties included in the TORNADO WATCH include- Burleigh- Morton- Divide Burke-Renville-Bottineau-Rolette-Williams-Mountrail-Ward- McHenry-Pierce-McKenzie-Dunn-Mercer-Oliver-McLean-Sheridan-Wells-Foster-Golden Valley-Billings-Stark-Kidder-Stutsman-Slope-Hettinger-Grant.

UPDATE- 3:55pm- A sever THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in effect for Burleigh County until 4:45pm.

The TORNADO WATCH remains in effect until 11pm, Friday night.
