GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — An image of an experimental space suit developed at the University of North Dakota is on display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.

UND's lead space suit designer Pablo de Leon says the poster of the astronaut outfit is part of museum's 'Suited for Space' exhibit that features space suits used in Apollo, Gemini and Mercury missions.

UND has tested its so-called planetary exploration suits from North Dakota's Badlands to the bottom of the world in Antarctica to simulate missions to Mars.
