Today, many popular websites including Tumblr and Netflix have intentionally slowed down their websites in an attempt to bring awareness to what new rules proposed by the FCC could do to your favorite sites.
You may have heard the term Net Neutrality, but if you're like most people, you have no clue what that actually means. Leave it to a comedian to explain it better than anyone else could! Essentially, we're looking at the internet becoming less of a free flow of data between users, and more about how much money ISP's can get for the data you want to access.
The FCC's comment period on this new proposed ruling closes September 15th.
