BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A federal judge says he won't clear a man whose trial in an alleged housing kickbacks scandal wound up in a hung jury.

Michael Addington is accused of using his position with the Standing Rock Housing Authority to help a construction company in Fort Pierre, S.D., receive new projects.

A jury earlier this month found Addington not guilty of accepting a bribe by an agent of an organization receiving federal funds. The panel could not reach a verdict on a conspiracy to commit fraud charge.

U.S. District Judge Patrick Conmy on Tuesday denied Addington's motion for acquittal. No further hearings have been scheduled.
