The judges have been announced for season 20 of American Idol. Now, they are looking for contestants.

It was recently announced that Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie will be back for season 20 of American Idol. Now, the judges are preparing to see hopefuls from across the nation perform their little hearts out, trying to make it to Hollywood. Could one of music's next biggest stars be right here in North Dakota?

First-round auditions will be held via Zoom with the judges.

If you have always wanted to audition for American Idol, now is a good time. According to Inforum, you do not even have to leave your house to audition for this season. Thanks to social distancing, the auditions for season 20 will be held via face-to-face Zoom calls with the judges. Do you think you have what it takes to become the next American Idol?

When will North Dakotans be able to audition for season 20 of American Idol?

Inforum reports that North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas will all be held on Wednesday, August 11. If you think you have what it takes to become the next American Idol, you can find the audition form on the show's site.

What would it be like to audition for such a big show?

If I could have one talent, it would be to sing like Ariana Grande - she has the voice of an angel. But I think it would be a nerve-racking experience to put myself out there in such a way, even if I could sing!  It takes some serious guts to perform in front of and take criticism from worldwide famous, award-winning, musical icons.
