Be Grateful For Your Safety Here In Bismarck/Mandan
Not long ago I wrote an article about feeling safe here in Bismarck/Mandan
There were reports of gunshots being fired early in the morning on several occasions in Bismarck. Back in November, the latest report of shootings appeared to be random. KX NET "Gunfire last night in Bismarck apparently produced bullet holes and shell casings, but no reported injuries or arrests" After that incident, I asked if residents in Bismarck/Mandan felt safe. For the most part, people replied back that they did, some were alarmed by the brazen activity.
This is exactly WHY we should feel grateful for living in North Dakota
Can you imagine relaxing in your living room, watching the news, and listening to a local detective warn citizens about crime and the dangerous conditions literally right here at home? This is how it looks in Los Angeles now:
Fox News YouTube
According to brobible.com "Some of the new laws, such as the zero bail policy and the elimination of cash bail for low-level, non-violent felonies and misdemeanors were enacted in large part due to the pandemic."
We saw a Minnesota version of this kind of crime that took place last month on Black Friday
What has been happening in California took place in Minnesota just last month on Black Friday, their version of the flash-looting when several people stole items from a Best Buy store. Could that ever happen here? Maybe, you never know. This I am sure of, I feel safe and protected in our city. I feel we are lucky to have a police department that cares about the citizens they are sworn to protect. Some may say "Well what's Los Angeles, California got anything to do with Bismarck?" Nothing except for the fact that people may be considered just a statistic. Our law enforcement in Bismarck/Mandan thinks of us as neighbors they care about.
