A Bismarck teacher who was put on "administrative leave" earlier this week after calling an area talk show from work, has resigned.

The Bismarck Tribune says Todd Tschosik tendered his resignation, effective Friday, citing "personal reasons."

Tschosik has placed on leave after calling in to "News and Views," hosted by Joel Heitkamp and heard in Bismarck on SuperTalk 1270.

According to the district, Tschosik placed the call during the work day to discuss his relationship with former fiance, State Superintendent Kirsten Baesler.

The school board is expected to formally accept his resignation Monday.
