Bismarck’s Heart Shaped Steaks For Valentine’s Day?
What's the old saying? "The best way to a man's heart is through his stomach?" Something like that. I had read something on the internet about "heart-shaped steaks" as the perfect Valentine's dinner for couples who want to avoid the hassle of trying to find a restaurant to dine out at and just eat at home.
So, I ventured out Saturday night to look for this "unicorn" of a Valentine's Day dinner of freshly cut flesh. I was kind of surprised that I found it at my very first stop. Cash Wise Foods on Bismarck Expressway did indeed have what I was looking for. Not a "heart-shaped" box or pizza but a "heart-shaped" piece of beef. In fact, one of my favorite cuts ribeye. It will set you back about 25 bucks, but the size looks perfect for two.
If steak isn't your thing, they even have "heart-shaped" salmon. I opted for the beef and I'm hoping the Mrs. will enjoy it. I've got my sides all picked out and maybe a glass of wine will bring it all together.
I know it seems that women are always wondering what to get their man for Valentine's Day? I hear a lot of complaints. Well, I can tell you as a guy, this would be a winner for just about any dude. Again, you don't have to line up a restaurant, waste time waiting in line to get seated, and not to mention the cost.
Heart-shaped steak dinner at home, a bottle of wine, maybe catch the Bachelor on TV and who knows what else? Sounds like the perfect Valentine's Day on a Monday.
