Can We Be Done With Winter Yet?
Apparently not! Winter continues to have a grip on the region as the National Weather Service in Bismarck is calling for snow showers to begin Friday (March 10th), and continue throughout the weekend.
There is a pretty good chance of accumulating snow on Sunday. Let's break this down for you. The NWS in Bismarck has issued WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for the Bismarck-Mandan area, and this advisory continues west of the area. East of Bismarck, there is a HAZARDOUS WEATHER ADVISORY which include the areas of Harvey, Jamestown and Ashely. North of our area, there is a WIND CHILL ADVISORY which include Minot, and this expires at 12 p.m. today (March 10th).
Snow accumulations predictions vary from location to location, with an average of 3-5 inches possible for our area. Snow with showers are predicted for today and Saturday with accumulation snow on Sunday.
