Another New Store Is Going Into Bismarck's Kirkwood Mall

Yep, it looks like the mall is getting another new store! Directly by the entrance nearest to the Mid Dakota Clinic, you will notice a sign in the window; it says "Strawberry Soda-Pop Studios coming soon."

When Will It Open?

While walking by, I also noticed a crew was in there working, so I figured it had to be relatively soon. I did find the businesses' website and saw that it is set to open this Fall -- as soon as October 4th.

What Is It?

If you're like me, you're probably thinking it's a custom soda pop shop... SURPRISE, it's not! This is actually a storefront for a local artist. After a little digging, I found that the artist's/store-owner's name is Annabelle. On the website, it says she went to the University of Jamestown. It also said that she specializes in watercolors, acrylics, portraits and even makes custom puzzles and stickers. How cool is that?

Sifting through the business' Facebook page, I noticed her artwork has been displayed all over North Dakota.

A Vibe

Looking through Annabelle's portfolio on the website, I saw some of her work has a very anime look, while other works are more realistic in nature.

Supporting The Arts

I always say it's important to support our local artists, so when I see someone flourish and succeed, it makes my heart happy. Who knows, maybe seeing this shop will inspire another person to follow their dreams and pursue a career as an artist.
