The city of Bismarck now wants to clamp down on employees using electronic devices while driving.

While state law now prohibits texting and driving, the Tribune reports, "commissioners feel city workers should be held to a higher standard when on duty."  Commissioner Mike Seminary said he wanted “more teeth in the policy.”

Seminary, in a Thursday interview on SuperTalk 1270, cited "litigation" issues as a reason for advocating separate city laws.
