I know people don't enjoy feeling like they are being preached to, or semi-scolded

I was in those shoes many years ago, I had no problem thinking I could drink two or three beers then get behind the wheel of an automobile. I don't want to hear the statistics of accidents involving alcohol, I certainly had no desire to hear of people telling me the obvious, that driving impaired is a recipe for disaster, and possible death - for you or other innocent drivers. I was all about TRYING to be responsible, but when you are an alcoholic, and you are in the depths of your disease, all logic goes out the window. I know this firsthand.

A campaign just recently produced some results in trying to keep drunks off the streets

All across the state of North Dakota law enforcement agencies were out on the roads in full force. Their "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" ran from December 17, 2021, to January 31, 2022. The goal was simple, to find drivers that were intoxicated. According to visioncenter.nd.gov "Of the 121 alcohol or drug-related citations issued, there were 70 driving under the influence (DUI) arrests. Alcohol-related charges also include 19 arrests or citations for minor in consumption, minor in possession, and open container" Now I used to be one of those people that would have "felt targeted" if I had heard about their campaign, but I have learned the evils of stupidity. There is absolutely NO reason why you should attempt to drive after you have been drinking.

Please respect yourself enough to understand that one simple mistake could ruin your life forever ( and your family and other innocent families as well )
