It's tax time! On Monday and Tuesday of next week, the North Dakota Office of State Tax Commissioner is extending its hours for those filing their taxes at the last minute.

For this year, Tax Day falls on Tuesday, April 17th. The office will be open until 8 p.m. for both Monday and Tuesday of next week. If you need assistance or if you're dropping off your North Dakota individual income tax filing, you can do so on the 16th floor of the North Dakota State Capitol Building.

Taxpayers will can enter through the south door of the building. The visitor parking lot will be open for parking, just to the east of the main entrance. Those who cannot stop by in-person can contact the individual income tax staff at 701-328-1247.

If you need to make a payment, it is free to do so online at www.nd.gov/tax/payment.

Should you be unable to make the deadline for filing taxes, you can file for an extension with the Internal Revenue Service using Form 4868 Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return.

According to Valley News Live, nearly 330,000 North Dakota income tax returns had been processed as of April 10th, 2018.
