Morgan Wallen performed an electrifying, crowd-pleasing concert to a packed house at the Alerus Center back in March of 2022. So when a post earlier in the week announced that Morgan Wallen would be back at Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota, fans were ecstatic to hear of the artist coming to the Red River Valley. The post made to Facebook by "Country Music Concert & Festivals" claimed a Morgan Wallen concert would be at the Alerus Center on Friday, July 14th, 2022.

SCAMMERS

The Alerus Center announced via Facebook after being notified of the post that this is a scam. On Wednesday, November 2nd, the Alerus Center went to Facebook posting on their page, "Morgan Wallen is not coming to Alerus Center in 2023. If we don't post about it, it's not on our website or Ticketmaster, and we aren't listed as a co-host for the event, then it's not real.

Don't buy tickets from strangers, kids."

Sadly, this is not the first attempt by these scammers. A concert scam for a Morgan Wallen concert was debunked recently after a claim of a concert to happen at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. The Rupp Arena posted this message in response, "Our staff has been made aware of a Facebook event page promoting a concert at Rupp Arena scheduled for July 28, 2023. This event was created falsely, as we have no such event on our schedule. Rupp Arena has taken the proper steps to have this event removed from Facebook. In the meantime, we ask everyone to be aware of online scams. Any events for our facility will be announced via RuppArena.com and our official social media accounts. We apologize for any confusion this has caused fans."

According to KVLY News, the fake events have been reported to Facebook. Crew, please, please especially with the holidays around the corner, beware of scammers as such.
