Fireworks Banned…Or Are They?
Fireworks are banned in Bismarck and Mandan. But the vendors are open. More specifically, you can't set them off here, but you CAN buy them.
So, what's the deal with that?
KXMB News reports that as of today (Wednesday) you can buy the fireworks, you just can't set them off in Burleigh or Morton Counties.
So what are the options? One buyer says he's taking his fireworks to Minnesota.
Some folks are staying home or finding other activities.
And a few are holding out for a miracle: a last-minute downpour. Don't hold your breat waiting for that one.
One bit of good news: though you may not be able to light fireworks at home, you can still catch a display after the Mandan Rodeo on July 4th.
