Governor Stands By Vetoes, Despite Criticism
North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says Gov. Doug Burgum "overstepped his authority" on some vetoes he issued after the Legislature adjourned.KX News reports Mr. Stenehjem found five of Mr. Burgum's 13 partial or total bill vetoes to be "improper."
The governor says he stands by the vetoes. Legislative Management will meet today to decide if state lawmakers should reconvene.
