We have known for a while that Halloween was going to be different this year. But it still hurts when we learn that our holiday traditions are going to be interrupted by the pandemic. It looks like a Halloween candy hotspot in town will not be putting on their trick-or-treat event for 2020.

Today (October 1), the Kirkwood Mall in Bismarck announced, via Facebook, that trick-or-treating will not be happening at their location this year. The mall's post states that the same experience that people have had in past years trick-or-treating at Kirkwood Mall. Check out the post below:

That being said, not all of the Halloween fun and festivities in Bismarck-Mandan have been squashed! Coming up on Saturday, October 24, Townsquare Media will be out at Zoo Boo at the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck! Since this spook-tacular trick-or-treating event will be held at the Dakota Zoo, fun and festivities will be taking place outside - which means the event is social distancing-friendly.

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

WHAT'S GOING ON: Dress up in your Halloween costume and come out to the Dakota Zoo for "treat booths, concessions, spooky decorations and more." Don't forget about checking out all of the cool animals!

*Admittance for  Zoo Boo is $5 per person for both members and nonmembers


As of right now, the Dakota Zoo is gearing up for a day of fun and social distancing with Zoo Boo. Bring the kids out for the Halloween festivities! We will you see there!
