First of all, some of these places were suggested to me by others, for I am certainly no expert on the dating scene

Ahhh the dreaded but anticipated FIRST DATE...some romantics at heart will fondly tell you all about theirs, but for most of us it is an event filled with nervous tensions, anxieties, you name it. Insecurities are easily exposed, we all go through them. The key in my opinion is to obviously pick a spot where you BOTH will be comfortable. Let me know what you think:

1) Bismarck Municipal Ballpark

Nothing better than hanging out in the sun on a lazy summer afternoon. Watching baseball is nice and relaxing, and you'll have plenty of time to get to know each better, and if all goes well your very first kiss could literally feel like fireworks exploding ( I know I'm corny ) - but seriously the Larks are well known for their sky shows...

2) Dakota Zoo

Another outdoor activity, what better way to relax - dressing casually is the key while observing some tuxedo-wearing penguins.

3) Lewis & Clark Riverboat

Is there a better way in Bismarck or Mandan to watch the sunset? You can always make up a tiny white lie and reveal to your date that you own the boat and that "there will be plenty more beautiful nights like this in the future..."

4) Midway Lanes Club & Trophy

This should be as low-pressure of a first date as you will ever have - IF you STRIKE out in LOVE, you can always aim for a perfect game at the bowling alley ( 12 strikes in a row ). Probably NOT a good idea to try and hug your date for the very first time while you are both holding bowling balls. Another quick tip, I wouldn't wear your favorite bowling alley shoes when you spend time here ( they might think you ripped them off )

5) Little Cottage Cafe

This is THE most simple, REAL place to escape for about an hour or so - terrific food, great service and you'll find out just how easy it is to be yourself ( THE most important part about dating ) - there is NO rush when you are both at the table.
