Ok, I have been out here in Bismarck long enough, and I'm running out of excuses

Well they aren't really excuses, but answers to the questions I get a lot - "You've been out here for two years and you've never ______?" My replies are usually that I'm just flat-out lazy or because I simply just haven't had the chance, but to be honest with you that's not necessarily true either. I have lived in North Dakota for a total of over 8 years now so I'm no stranger to the traditions of brutally cold days AND like we just went through some blistering hot temperatures. I wonder if anyone else can relate to my inexperience in doing 5 of these things:

1) FISHING -

I grew up in San Diego, California, and not once did I hold a fishing pole, there were beaches all around me, but you didn't just walk a half-mile down to the local river on a lazy weekend and fish. When people out here find out that out, someone always says "So you've never been Ice fishing?" I just shake my head.

2) Been Inside The Bismarck Capital

I just actually ran across a YouTube video of a tourist and his wife taking a tour of Bismarck, and one of the first things they did was visit our Capital building. If I wasn't so afraid of heights I wouldn't mind checking out the observation deck.

3) Being At A Bismarck Bobcats Game

This one is my own fault. I've had numerous chances to go but failed. This one is for sure on my list of things to do next season.

4) Medora

Everyone seems to know of this place, I know it's not HERE in Bismarck, but all the people who tell me stories of adventure when it comes to fondue, golf, and spectacular views are all about Medora, and a definite MUST place to see.

5) Big Boy

This is a hidden one that seems to surprise BisMan residents the most when they find out that I've never stopped into a Big Boy restaurant over at 2511 E Main Ave. Some question whether I am some kind of alien visiting from another planet. I'm guessing that one day down the distant road I could actually try all 5 of these things in a 24-hour period!
