It's no secret that the Bismarck Bobcats endure a long season

They hit the ice for real LAST year in September - through the thousands of practices, and road trips, home games packed with Cats fans, you would think that the players would be tired, beat up, physically and mentally - but by the way they have been playing their last 4 games it looks like they have recharged their batteries. The matter of having the fate of post-season play at their fingertips and hockey sticks will do that to a team.

A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to interview the "voice" of the Bismarck Bobcats Cory Berberian

At that point, Bismarck was getting ready to end its season head-on with a team they needed to beat at home and on the road - 6 straight games with Northern Iowa - two at home, two away, and the finale - tomorrow night, and Saturday here at the VFW Sports Center. Cory told me that he believed they needed to win at least 5 to have a shot at the playoffs. The Cats have won 4 straight - if you ever doubted their will and courage then you should have seen what took place last Saturday night, in Northern Iowa. With the clock ticking away, they faced the end of their season, down 3-1 after 2 periods. A loss was not acceptable, as they stormed back and won in overtime.

WHY are these last two games of the season so important?...

Bobcats take on Bulls in final weekend of the season

It doesn't get much bigger: two games remaining in the season. Both on home ice. Your Bobcats have won four straight games, but must win two more on home ice to make the playoffs.

The Bobcats welcome in the North Iowa Bulls to the VFW Sports Center. Join us Friday and Saturday nights as we play for all the marbles.
