Lyft, NDDOT Give you a Cheaper, Safer Ride

North Dakota and the Lyft Company are joining forces to help you save on a safe and sober ride this holiday season.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation says now through New Year’s Eve, the first 1,000 Lyft users who ride from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. can use a code to get $10 off their ride.

Here's the fine print: "The code can only be used once per ride, but there is no limit to the number of times a person can use the code during the designated time period."

The code to receive your discounted ride is: "VISIONZEROND."

In a related story, NDDOT's "Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over" program is in effect through the end of January.

So, don't take any chances: get a designated driver or take advantage of the "Vision Zero" program and save some money on your ride.

Remember: Vision Zero N-D. Enter it as one word and save!
