Mandan’s Spring Clean-Up Week: Dates Changing & More Info
It's that time of year where we are cleaning and purging ourselves of the clutter we've collected in the last several months.
Out with the old, in with the new.
Here's what you need to know about Mandan's citywide spring clean-up for 2023.
The Dates
The city of Mandan's spring clean-up week is scheduled for April 17th through April 22nd, though that might change.
According to the city of Mandan's official website, with the snow accumulations and watery disaster that comes with snow melting, the annual spring clean-up may change.
The city plans to make a decision by Monday, April 10th as to whether or not to reschedule the clean-up.
As of right now, the city landfill will be open Saturday, April 15th, Monday, April 17th through Saturday, April 22nd. They will be accepting items from 8 am to 4:45 pm.
THINGS TO KNOW:
During clean-up week, Mandan residents may place bulky items for special waste collection on their curb ONLY.
Do not put things out more than 24 hours before collection
Keep items separate from household garbage
Crews will pick up items that can be lifted by two people, according to the city website.
Appliances must be clear of food and other items.
The city website also says that crews will not be collecting from private streets and/or property. This includes apartment complexes.
ITEMS THAT WON'T BE COLLECTED
Construction materials
Animal hide and bones
Carpet
Oil
Liquids, such as paint
Batteries
Lawn Clippings
Hazardous waste such as pesticides and cleaning supplies
Tires:
The city will collect tires at a cost.
