Century did a study to find the most popular children's shows on PBS.

For the study, Century Link did some research to find the nine most searched PBS shows in the country. Then, they found which show was most searched in each state to determine kids' favorite shows. Here are the most popular kids' television shows nation-wide, according to Century Link research:

  1. Clifford the Big Red Dog
  2. Wild Kratts
  3. Sesame Street
  4. Curious George
  5. Teletubbies
  6. Arthur
  7. Caillou
  8. The Magic School Bus
  9. Zoboomafoo

Which PBS cartoon is most popular with North Dakota kids?

The study determined that the classic show, Sesame Street is a favorite among kids in our state. This is totally true for my family! My nearly three-year-old niece is obsessed with Sesame Street - especially Elmo. In fact, she just had a whole Sesame Street birthday party last year! The entire family dressed up in t-shirts that represented all the best characters from the show.

Sesame Street does more for kids than teach "ABC's" and "123's."

The characters on Sesame Street teach kids important lessons about everything from the adventures in life to having kindness and compassion for others. And now, Sesame Street is doing something really cool to help kids work through their feelings! According to CBS Baltimore, the meditation app called "Headspace" has teamed up with Sesame Street to teach children ways to deal with their stress - like breathing exercises.

What has been an important lesson from Sesame Street that has made an impact on your life?
