VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say they have arrested a North Dakota college student in connection with a Minnesota shooting that killed one person and wounded another.

The Jamestown Sun reports that the Minneapolis Police Department contacted the Valley City Police Department last weekend to seek assistance in investigating the case. Minneapolis police got an arrest warrant for one count of murder and one count of attempted murder for 21-year-old Cedric Chappell Jr.

Chappell was taken into custody Tuesday on the campus of Valley City State University.
