Sir David Frost, the British comedian and journalist, best known for a series of interviews with former-President Richard Nixon, is dead at 74.

The Cambridge-educated broadcaster reportedly died of a heart attack while on the cruise ship Queen Elizabeth, where he was scheduled to speak.

The Nixon interviews, conducted in 1977, were later the subject of a play and movie.  Frost also hosted a series of comedy TV shows, most notably, "That Was the Week That Was."

Other Frost interviewees included The Beatles, Mick Jagger, Orson Welles, Clint Eastwood and numerous American presidents.
