North Dakota House Nixes $1 Salary For Governor

The State House Monday overwhelmingly shot down a proposal to cut the governor's salary to one dollar a year.
KX News reports the amendment, based on a promise Governor Burgum made while campaigning, was not well received on the floor of the House. A number of lawmakerts spoke out against it.
The bill now goes back to conference committee where reps and senators will try rework it so it can pass.
