North Dakota Tops (Again) in Beer Consumption
Once again the Peace Garden State tops the nation in drinking beer.
The Fargo Forum reports North Dakota is number one in per capita beer consumption. Residents drank 43.3 gallons of beer on average in 2013, topping the national ranking for the second year.
The Beer Institute, a trade association, conducted the study. Local merchants note that beer drinking is a major part of the local cultural heritage; public health officials, however, warn of excess.
