It Seems Odd Two States Drink More Beer Than North Dakota.
It's Thanksgiving. It's Football. It's Beer. But what kind of beer?
I'm sorry Bud Light. I'm also sorry Busch Light...neither of you is ND's favorite!
At least according to these guys. They'll tell ya that Fargo beer is now North Dakota's favorite beer! Makes sense. It's a darn good beer. Seems we're just not drinking enough of it. North Dakota, at least in my memories, was the number one beer-drinking state. But these days North Dakota is ranked number three.
Kids don't drink...Seriously, there's plenty of time later in life.
So how in the world did New Hampshire CONTINUE to hold the title of Best Beer Drinkers? I guess they work harder. Seems Montana at number two might be set on drinking beer more than us too.
Here's how New Hampshire took the crown.
New Hampshire took the top spot in 2020, outdrinking other states with 41.5 gallons of beer consumed annually per capita. In contrast, the lowest consuming state was Maryland which only consumed 19.7 gallons per capita, about half as much.
The most popular overall beer?
Despite the growing trend of craft breweries in some states, the most popular beer across the country was Budweiser of Anheuser-Busch, which took the top spot in 23 states.
To see where all states rank for beer drinking, beer preferences, and beer breweries- please read here. I agree with Fargo Beer since it's really good. But New Hampshire? Maybe we should invite them over for a garage party.
