Armed British police raided homes over the weekend in search of a jihadist believed responsible the the London Bridge terror attack.

The London Sunday Times reported "Scotland Yard confirmed that counter-terrorism officers had arrested 12 people in Barking and a number of homes were being searched."

Authorities report they made "significant progress" in identifying suspects reponsible for the Saturday attack, in which at least seven died and dozens were injured.

Prime Minister Theresa May and London Mayor Sadiq Khan issued statements condemning the attack and called for vigilance in the face of terrorism.
