Quiet Rail Proposal To Get Hearing

A plan to silence BNSF Railway whistles in Bismarck’s central downtown district is on the table for the Oct. 8 Bismarck City Commission meeting.

Commissioner Parrell Grossman says a consultant will present the plan at the meeting. The commission could then send a notice of intent for a quiet rail crossing to the Federal Railroad Administration.
