The 17th annual Sanford Health Great American Bike Race brought together 1,300 plus riders from across North Dakota, friends from Canada and neighboring states. Teams dressed like angry birds, zoo animals, Dakota sapphire tutu's, YP gone green, pirates & more. Team's like Ty's Cowboys, Paige's Peep's, Remembering John, Abby's Angels and Aiden's team put the pedal to the medal to raise dollars for those living with cerebral palsy, neuro-muscular disease and illness. The mayors of Mandan Arlyn Van Beek and Bismarck John Warford celebrated the day. CEO of Sanford Health Bismarck Craig Lambrecht kicked off the day honoring the riders and the GABR stars Cole Fleck and Kenley Schneider.

Six Appeal vocal band performed the national anthem, the first GABR star Isaac Boorgard did a moving performance of Uncle Kracker's "Drift Away". Hundreds of volunteers manned tables, bikes, kept riders safe, served up coffee and lunch. The 2013 Sanford Health GABR raised more than $400,000 for the support of famililes living with cerebral palsy, neuro-muscular disease and related illnesses.
