Protesters closed State Highway 1806 in Morton County on the Afternoon of Saturday, October 8th.

The City of Fargo Police, county agencies from Dunn, Starks, Stutsman, McKenzie, Morton, ND Highway Patrol and Federal Agencies were all on the scene as the State Highway was closed for public safety.

The demonstrators from the camps protesting the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline were seen riding horses on the roadway and made road travel a hazard. At the time, travelers were advised to take State Highway 6, south of Mandan.
