Tornadoes Tear Through Illinois, One Dead

One person is dead and rescue searches continue in the wake of an outbreak of tornadoes that smashed through central Illinois Thursday.

The small farming town of Fairview saw the worst if it; a twister flattened much of the community and left one woman dead.

The Chicago Tribune reports Geraldine Schultz, 67, was killed in her home on Main Street. At least eleven others were hospitalized.
