Two of college hockey's best teams are coming together for an epic battle in Sin City in 2018.

According to The Grand Forks Herald, the University of North Dakota and Minnesota are close to finalizing a deal that would see the schools' hockey teams battling it out in Las Vegas in 2018.

The contract has yet to be signed, but the game, which would be played on October 27th, 2018, has been verbally agreed upon.

The game will be a U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game and it will be played at the Orleans Arena, which is part of the Orleans Hotel and Casino.

This will not be the first time the UND hockey team has played a game somewhere out of the ordinary. Next season, for example, the team is scheduled to play Boston College at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The contract to play the game in Las Vegas is expected to be signed very soon.
