Wildfires Cause Trail Closures at Theodore Roosevelt National Park
Trail closures are currently taking place at Theodore Roosevelt National Park due to fires in the South Unit of the park.
According to a Facebook post from 10am on Tuesday (July 18), suppression efforts are currently under way at the park.
The Facebook post states, "all trails on the interior of the Scenic Loop Drive are closed. All trails on the outside of the loop as well as those on the west side of the river remain open. Park roads are open as well."
Due to dry conditions, fire restrictions are in place at the park. This is a developing story.
