WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — The show's over at the Lake Park Drive-In Theater in Williston.

The Williston Herald reports that the old movie theater was torn down on Wednesday. The theater has been closed for about a year.

Adams Development Superintendent Steve Griffith says his group purchased the now-vacant lot and will use it for a future project.

Playground equipment at the outdoor theater was donated to a local family.

Griffith says scrap from the demolition will be recycled and trees that were cut down will be donated to area families for firewood.
