In his second career NFL start, quarterback Carson Wentz led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 29-14 win on the road over the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.

Unlike Wentz's first game against the Cleveland Browns, the rookie quarterback struggled a bit in the first half against the Bears. M went 15-of-24 for 141 yards and zero touchdowns through the first two quarters, though one would-be touchdown was dropped by wide receiver Jordan Matthews near the end of the half.

Thankfully for Wentz, his kicker, Caleb Sturgis, was on target, hitting three field goals, including a 53-yarder right before the end of the second quarter, to give the Eagles a 9-7 lead going into halftime.

The score stayed 9-7 through much of the third quarter, until running back Ryan Mathews punched it in from three yards out, giving the Eagles a 16-7 lead.

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler threw an interception on the first play of the next drive, which put the Eagles in perfect position to add more points to the board before the start of the fourth quarter. Carson Wentz was able to find Trey Burton on a quick screen to score from two yards out and give the Eagles a 22-7 lead heading into the final quarter of play.

An early fourth quarter fumble by Bears running back Jeremy Langford and another touchdown run for Mathews secured the win on the road for the Eagles, who move to 2-0 on the season. They sit tied atop the NFC East with the New York Giants.

The final line for Wentz looks like this: 21-of-34 for 190 yards and one touchdown, plus three rushes for 16 yards. Wentz also became the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to start and win his first two games, while not turning over the ball.

Up next for Wentz and the Eagles, it's a matchup with Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m. this Sunday, September 25th, in Philadelphia.
