A North Dakota news reporter was arrested this past weekend for domestic assault. He made an initial appearance in court on Monday, and will have another appearance in April. Valley News Live in Fargo has the full story here.

On Sunday, March 8th, 37-year-old Matt Henson arrested at his home in Moorhead, Minnesota after an alleged incident with the woman he was living with. Court papers show that the former WDAZ anchor and current WDAY reporter is reported to have come home around 9:00 PM on Sunday evening with his child, and then there was an argument between Henson and the woman.

Court papers also say that the arguments escalated and Henson got aggressive. As a result, the woman started to record him on her phone. Henson reportedly squeezed her wrist to force her to drop the phone.

Henson was charged with fifth-degree domestic assault. He appeared in Clay County court on Monday, March 9th, where he pleaded not guilty. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 1, 2020.
