I have heard "Nobody wants to work anymore" quite a bit in the last couple of years out here in Bismarck and Mandan

There are many people who will blame the closures of businesses in Bismarck and Mandan on the fact that they have trouble with their staff, as in a LACK of. To me I find it still shocking that there are so many places that are hurting for employees. I also stand firm that I believe there are some who hold value to having a job, and I ran across that this morning.

A fairly early morning lunch for me is the norm...

I try and eat luch around 10:45 am weekdays, a creature of habit I guess you can say I am. This morning I headed over to one of my regular spots - Taco Bell over on South Washington. My usual lazy drive-thru ritual was altered as the voice on the speaker told me that food orders were only taken inside the restaurant. It was here that I saw something I've never seen before.

A nifty looking Taco Bell kiosk

The second I walked in, a pleasant voice told me to place my order on through THIS:

Maybe I don't get out much, but this is the first time I've seen a do-it-yourself ordering system. Only for a second did I wonder WHY this was here, until I met the voice that told to come inside - this is Christina - the assistant manager.

Our conversation blew me away - SHE was the ONLY employee on duty, she greets you when you come in, she takes your order just as soon as you enter it on the kiosk, she makes your food, and hands it to you at the counter, ALL with a smile that never leaves her face. Her attitude is refreshing and sparkling with entusiasm - you see, Christina WANTS to work. To me she is the ideal representative for any business.

I want to make sure that social media knows all about the work ethic this lady shows

For it seem like when we are skimming through local group Facebook pages there are quite a few people that think it's ok to take cheap shots at retaurants, businesses, and employees they run into. In my opinion, those that take pride in what they do and how they treat their customers. I thanked Christina right before I left, and told her how awesome she is. She is proof that people STILL want to work.
