How to Handle Pets Spooked by Fireworks

Independence Day weekend is not necessarily a good time for the critters in your family.

Dogs and cats can get seriously spooked by fireworks.  Sometimes they curl up in fear, sometimes they howl incessantly.

And sometimes they run away.
