The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that Salm Partners is recalling about 133,039 pounds of ready-to-eat turkey kielbasa products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically bone fragments.

The turkey kielbasa products that were ready to eat were made on October 27, 2023, and October 30, 2023. The following goods could be recalled:

• 13-oz. plastic vacuum-sealed packages containing “PARKVIEW TURKEY POLSKA KIELBASA”, with P-32009 and “USE BY APR 24 24” or “USE BY APR 27 24” printed on the package.

The goods that are being recalled have the establishment number "P-32009" and the use-by date printed on the front of the packaging. These goods were distributed to retail establishments around the country.

The issue was identified following the company's notification to FSIS of customer complaints alleging that the turkey kielbasa product contained fragments of bone. FSIS additionally got two complaints about this matter from customers.

One case of mild oral damage linked to this product's use has been documented. No new reports of disease or harm resulting from the use of these goods have reached FSIS. A healthcare professional should be contacted by anyone who is worried about an illness or injury.

FSIS is worried that certain products might be found in the freezers or refrigerators of customers. It is recommended that consumers who have purchased these products not use them. You should either return these items to the store where you bought them or toss them away.

Recall effectiveness checks are regularly carried out by FSIS to confirm that companies who undertake recalls notify their customers of the recall and that appropriate measures are taken to ensure the product is no longer available to consumers.
