BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man is accused of punching his sister in the face with brass knuckles.

Christopher Rainbow, of Fort Yates, is charged in federal court with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

A witness told police that the assault knocked the victim unconscious. She suffered bruises to her face and required stitches to close a cut on her ear.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday in Bismarck.
