Following the injury to Teddy Bridgewater, the Minnesota Vikings were on the hunt for a replacement and they seemed to have found it in Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford.

The Vikings traded for Bradford Saturday morning, September 3rd, sending a 2017 first round pick and a 2017 fourth round pick to the Eagles in return, according to SBNation.com.

Bradford had asked to be traded in the offseason after the Eagles moved up in the draft to take former North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz with the second overall pick.

The Eagles have said all along that they'd bring Wentz along slowly, but shipping Bradford out of town puts that plan to rest.

Current backup Chase Daniel would be the likely week one starter for the Philadelphia Eagles. Wentz would follow him on the depth chart.

The Vikings begin their regular season this Sunday, September 11th, against the Tennesee Titans.
