Minot Woman Hospitalized After Assault, Detention by Fiance

A woman was seen at Trinity Hospital in Minot after the man she was set to marry assaulted her.

And that's not all. Following the assault on her person early on Saturday (Jan 16), the 37-year-old suspect trapped his wife-to-be in a basement, holding her there and refusing to let her go.

The man is charged with Class C felonious restraint and a Class B misdemeanor, simple assault.
