ND Man Pleads Guilty in Separate Assault Cases
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man has pleaded guilty to two separate assaults against women on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.
Waylon Gardner pleaded guilty Monday to assault of a spouse or intimate partner resulting in substantial bodily injury, and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
Authorities say the incidents happened April 3 in Mandaree and May 20 in Parshall. One of his victims was knocked unconscious and another was stabbed.
Gardner faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison on the two charges.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 21 in Bismarck.
