The 6th Annual Pucklich Chevrolet ND Sportsman's Expo ended yesterday and reflecting back on the high moments of such a fun show, I remembered interviewing Sporting Chance.

If you're not aware of the organization, it is one that helps the less fortunate experience the outdoors. That includes people with mental and physical disabilities. The vehicles they had on-site at the Expo were ones they have had augmented to help with that goal.

It is a great organization, one that is interesting to look into when looking to make donations.

Here's a word from their president:

President: Bryan Haag

Hello,
My name is Bryan Haag I am currently the president of Sporting Chance.
My family consists of my wife Denice, son Matt and four dogs.
I work at the Tesoro Refinery in Mandan. I started out working with the group volunteering with the bow hunting that takes place on the Tesoro property "North Forty".

I am an avid hunter and fishermen. However, in December of 2005 I ended up seriously hurt in an accident that left me unable to hunt and fish the way I normally did. This was a big wakeup call for me. I am one of the lucky ones who can pretty much do everything the way that I did in the past with few adaptations. The realality of not being able to do this opened my eyes to what goes on with the Sporting Chance organization, I just love seeing the smiles and tears on the faces of the people we help with their "sporting chance".

There are so many other stories on their website from everyone involved with the organization. If you'd like to read them, click here
