North Dakota Ranks High on the List of the ‘Most Fun States in America’
So much for what social media trolls on Twitter know, North Dakota ranks as one of the 'Most Fun States in America!'
According to a recent study by WalletHub, North Dakota ranks as the 4th most fun state in America. If you're wondering how our state happened to snatch such a ranking, then let's explore.
In comparison with all other states in the U.S., North Dakota ranks in the top ten in each of the following categories: movie theaters per capita (5th), golf courses and recreation per capita (2nd), performing-arts theaters per capita (6th), access to national parks (6th), and casinos per capita (6th). North Dakota also ranks 11th in Variety of Arts, Recreation Establishments and 24th in restaurants per capita. It's safe to say North Dakota excels in nightlife entertainment and overall recreation.
The states that finished ahead of North Dakota in the overall ranking were Nevada, South Dakota, and Colorado, finishing as first, second, and third respectively. We even finished just ahead of New York as they rounded out the top five.
Finishing in the bottom five are Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, West Virginia, and Mississippi taking the title as the least fun state in the U.S.
